This is the last week for the current Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre season. Operations Director Gary Griffin says large numbers of people have been enjoying the performances which have an additional venue this year with the completion of the revamped and remodeled Utah Theatre.
Griffin says in addition to main stage productions, there is a special concert Tuesday evening where Bach's Mass in B Minor will be performed.
"Craig Jessop will bring the American Festival Chorus to the stage of the Ellen Eccles Theatre," says Griffin. "The Utah Festival Orchestra and soloists will perform Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B Minor, which is said to be one of the greatest musical pieces ever to be written."
Griffin says the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and there are still a few tickets available.
